Frequently asked questions
What is Autara?
Autara is an Australian marketplace that connects car owners with verified car care and detailing professionals. We're getting ready to launch — join the waiting list and we'll let you know the moment verified detailers go live in your suburb.
When is Autara launching?
We're opening city by city, starting with Melbourne — Sydney and Brisbane are next. The best way to know exactly when we go live near you is to join the waiting list; we'll email you the moment Autara opens in your suburb.
How do I join the waiting list?
Enter your name, email, and suburb on our home page. That's it — we'll send you one message when Autara launches in your area. No spam and no daily noise.
How will booking and payment work?
When we launch, you'll be able to browse verified detailers near you, compare real prices, and book in a couple of taps. You'll secure a slot with a small deposit held by Stripe, with the balance collected after the service is completed. Autara never stores your full card details.
Are the detailers verified?
Yes. Every detailer is ABN- and ID-checked before they can take a single booking, so the pros you'll see at launch are verified, insured, and accountable.
Is there an Autara app?
Native iOS and Android apps are on the way and will roll out around launch. For now, joining the waiting list on the web is all you need to do — we'll share the download links as soon as the apps are live.
How do I update or remove my waiting-list details?
Email us at support@autara.au and we'll update or remove your details. To be taken off the waiting list entirely, use the subject 'Remove my details' and we'll action it promptly.
